You can apply some image filters like emboss, rotate, reflection etc to resultant image. Some filters may take long time to implement when used on full page as compared to part of a webpage.

You can also add title to generated image and specify the color, position, font size for the title. You can later convert image to PDF, it will be just single image in PDF format with no editing option for hyperlinks and text. PDFit Firefox Extensionis one quick way to convert webpage into image within Firefox.

Mozilla is removing the anti-phishing feature starting version 2.0.0.19 of Firefox. The reason being given is that Google, which provides the phishing data via the SafeBrowsing protocol, has asked Mozilla to disable the feature in Firefox 2.0 since it relies on an obsolete version of the protocol.

The best approach is to upgrade to Firefox 3.0 but if you still insist on using Firefox 2.0, consider getting third-party tools like the Netcraft toolbar, Firephish that add phishing protection to your Firefox 2.

As you know, Latest Current release of Mozilla Firefox browser version 3.5 has in built private mode but I know some guys that are still using 3.0 and they are loving their own customizations. So I am posting this information for them.

It is one of the most interesting feature in Mozilla Firefox 3.5. Private browsing mode puts Firefox into a temporary state where no information about the user’s browsing session is stored locally. If you have no plans to wait and start using right now, then this article will be helpful to you.

Get the Firefox addon called “Private Browsing” which hides surfing trails that the browser leaves behind. Once installed, you can start the private browsing mode by going to “Tools -> Private Browsing” or by clicking on its icon in Statusbar. You can also start it by using a keyboard shortcut “Ctrl + Shift + P“.

You can select the different data you want to remove after ending the private session, this are:

- Browsing History
- Downloads History
- Disk Cache
- Form Information
- Cookies
- Saved Passwords
- Flash Cookies

Juice is an interesting Firefox plug-in that enhances your browser sidebar with Wikipedia articles, web search results, videos and more. You can also store YouTube videos and web pictures in Firefox sidebar via Juice to view them later.

The extension was developed in China and is now distributed with the official Chinese version of Firefox as well. Here’s a quick video demo of Juice.

Say you are reading a web page in the browser and like to know more about some phrase / personality / company mentioned on the web page. Simply select and drag that text to the side and Juice will automatically open relevant information in the sidebar.

If you are on the YouTube page, you can even drag videos and watch them later from the sidebar itself while reading other web pages.
